Saturday March 3 - Cavani String Quartet
The all-female Cavani String Quartet, winner of the prestigious Naumberg Chamber Music Award, has been described by the Washington Post as "completely engrossing, powerful and elegant." Appearances include Carnegie Hall and Alice Tully Hall in New York, the Corcoran Gallery of Art and Kennedy Center in Washington DC, major TV and public radio stations, and a series of children's concerts for the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center. ltzhak Perlman wrote, "I have seen them in action and was very impressed. Hooray for the Cavani Quartet."

Tuesday, March 6 - Weilerstein Trio
Renowned violinist and teacher Donald Weilerstein and his wife, pianist Vivian Hornik Weilerstein, have chosen cellist Dan McDonough of the Jupiter String Quartet to replace their daughter Alisa for this year's performance. Donald and Vivian Weilerstein are professors at the New England Conservatory and at Juilliard. Their many performance venues include Lincoln Center and London's Royal Academy of Music. They have been frequent guests on NPR and St. Paul Sunday.

Saturday, March 10 - Jerusalem String Quartet
This quartet became the first artist to win a second BBC Music Magazine Award when their Harmonia. Mundi recording of "Haydn String Quartets Volume 2" was voted "Best Chamber music recording of the year." They also won in 2008 with a Shostakovich CD. They have played all major US cities, as well as Wigmore Hall, London, the Bath Festival and Amsterdam's Conertgebouw. "Superlatives are inadequate in describing just how fine this playing was from one of the young, yet great quartets of our time."

Tuesday March 13 - Di Wu, Piano
In 2009, Di Wu made her NY Alice Tully hall recital debut as winner of Juilliard's William Petsehek Piano Debut Recital Award, was named Artist of the Month by Musical America.com, was awarded a Vendome Virtuosi prize at Lisbon's prestigious Vendome Competition, plus one of the coveted prizes at the 'Thirteenth Van Clihurn International Competition. Her past season featured debuts with the Philadelphia Orchestra, at Chicago's Ravinia Festival, at the Cincinnati May Festival and in Tokyo, where she appeared as a soloist with orchestra in front of an audience of 11,000.

Tuesday, March 20 - Claremont Trio
Widely regarded as the premiere piano trio of its generation, the Claremont was the first winner of the Kalichstein-Laredo-Robinson International Trio Award and the only piano trio ever to win the Young Concert Artists International Auditions. Twin sisters Emily (violin) and Julia (cello) Bruskin formed the Trio with Andrea Lam (piano) at The Juilliard School in 1999. The sisters both play old French instruments. The Trio has received a Critic's CHOICE award from BBC magazine for a recording with Clarinetist Johnathan Cohler.

Saturday March 24 - American Chamber Players
Founder, artistic director and violist Miles Hoffman and his Players will be familiar to anyone who listenes to NPR's Performance Today and Morning Edition. Hoffman's six-member ensemble of piano, string trio, flute and clarinet is known for creating programs with a delightful mix of instrumental combinations, ranging from duos through works for the full sextet. The New York Times says that the Players offer "...a warm, seductively luxurious sound and an impressive unity of purpose," They are among today's most exciting and innovative chamber music ensembles.

Tuesday March 27 - Opera Theater of Connecticut - Puccini Brought to Life
For 26 years, OTC has provided young professional singers on the cusp of major careers an invaluable opportunity to practice their craft. It also brings the performing arts into underserved communities, at affordable prices. Its educational outreach program, Overtures, has made presentations to over 8,500 people, from children to seniors. Many of its artists have gone on to debut with such companies as the Met, Chicago's Lyric, San Francisco and New York City Opera. Artistic director Alan Mann will add witty and informative commentary on this all-Puccini program with digital scenery and supertitles.
